Scholarships

Individuals and organizations work closely with the foundation to award thousands of dollars in scholarships to students  engaged in courses of study focused on beef education. As a 501(c)(3), ACCWHFI provides donors with the opportunity to make charitable donations; funding scholarships that support leadership and further education in the beef industry.

Beef Education & Professional Development

ACCWHFI along with the California CattleWomen units have donated hundreds of books to elementary schools and public libraries across the state. For over two years now, complimentary copies of "Charlie Learns To Be A Cowboy" by Danika Kester have been given to librarians and teachers across California. Teachers can access a free lesson plan based on the book here. The lesson is aligned with the California Common Core English Language Arts Standards, the California English Language Learner Standards for Kindergarten, and the CASEL (Social Emotional Learning Framework.

Just in time for Christmas in 2025, Danika's latest book, "A Place for Ace" along with "Charlie Learns to be a Cowboy" was gifted to the 14 children's hospitals in California. This effort continues in 2026 as the ACCWHFI collaborates with hospitals across the state to ensure that children have access to uplifting, quality books during their hospital stay. Community Involvement

The foundation has the utmost amount of respect for the men and women who have risked their lives for our freedom. We work closely with veteran organizations such as Honor Flight, a non-profit organization that takes veterans on an all- expenses paid trip to Washington, DC. Frequently described as a "trip of a lifetime," veterans are given the opportunity to visit memorials that pay tribute to their military service.

ACCWHFI has collaborated with California Cattlemen units from across the state as well as Harris Ranch Beef to ensure that veterans were served 'Real Beef' on their trips to our nation's capital. Ensuring that veteran's have beef as a menu option during these trips will continue to be a focus for upcoming flights.
