Scholarships
Individuals and organizations work closely with the foundation to award thousands of dollars in scholarships to students engaged in courses of study focused on beef education. As a 501(c)(3), ACCWHFI provides donors with the opportunity to make charitable donations; funding scholarships that support leadership and further education in the beef industry.

Beef Education & Professional Development
ACCWHFI along with the California CattleWomen units have donated hundreds of books to elementary schools and public libraries across the state. For over two years now, complimentary copies of "Charlie Learns To Be A Cowboy" by Danika Kester have been given to librarians and teachers across California. Teachers can access a free lesson plan based on the book here. The lesson is aligned with the California Common Core English Language Arts Standards, the California English Language Learner Standards for Kindergarten, and the CASEL (Social Emotional Learning Framework.
Just in time for Christmas in 2025, Danika's latest book, "A Place for Ace" along with "Charlie Learns to be a Cowboy" was gifted to the 14 children's hospitals in California. This effort continues in 2026 as the ACCWHFI collaborates with hospitals across the state to ensure that children have access to uplifting, quality books during their hospital stay. Pictured right, ACCWHFI director, Pam Dorion (left) presents Ann Peyrat (right) from the Children's Miracle Network at Cottage Hospital with copies of both books. Beef Promotion & Real Beef
PRCA bull rider Chase Dougherty is proud to represent Real Beef. Real Beef is a beef promotion effort designed to educate the public on beef nutrition and the important role that beef plays in not just a professional athlete's diet, but everyone's diet! Rodeo fans can watch Chase ride at some of the nation's biggest rodeos wearing Real Beef on his shirts, vest, and glove.
Promoting Real Beef & Supporting Law Enforcement
In 2026, ACCHFI will be an executive sponsor of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Rodeo. The foundation's activities and Real Beef will be promoted to thousands of people from SLO County and beyond through programming, announcements, and more! Organized by the SLO County Sheriff's Rodeo Foundation, proceeds from the May event in Paso Robles, CA help purchase critical equipment and training for the law enforcement officers who risk their lives daily to keep our homes and property safe.

Real Beef for Veterans
The foundation has the utmost amount of respect for the men and women who have risked their lives for our freedom. We work closely with veteran organizations such as Honor Flight, a non-profit organization that takes veterans on an all- expenses paid trip to Washington, DC. Frequently described as a "trip of a lifetime," veterans are given the opportunity to visit memorials that pay tribute to their military service.
ACCWHFI has collaborated with California Cattlemen units from across the state as well as Harris Ranch Beef to ensure that veterans were served 'Real Beef' on their trips to our nation's capital. Ensuring that veteran's have beef as a menu option during these trips will continue to be a focus for upcoming flights.
